On this page is a drawing of a baby bobcat. After just one year with its mother this young cat will be on its own. These medium sized cats live in a wide variety of habitats and there mottled coats help them go undetected even in areas where they are fairly common. Bobcats are excellent hunters and there favorite prey is rabbits but they will also take other small mammals, birds, and frogs.
